Minima Ochre

Several months back when I redid my template, I started with this picture of Nellie, and found a simplistic blogger template I could modify. I thought "Minima Ochre" was very nice, inoffensive, neutral, overall pleasing to the eye. I wasn't very familiar with what the color "ochre" was, but Wikipedia defines it as "a color, usually described as golden-yellow or light yellow brown." Fair enough.

So I was shocked the very first time that I worked up the courage to look at my blog at my new job. The background color wasn't at all the same on this crappy CRT monitor that it is on my lovely LCD screen on my laptop. Rather than the sort of khaki color I was used to, it looked more like urine the morning after a long night of drinking. U.G.L.Y. So I don't know what to do. I don't have a lot of time to post let alone mess around with changing my whole template. But I just have to know, what color is my background on your computer?

I've never had a problem with it, but I do have some good psuedo-khaki RGB's that I can give you to try.

Kind of a dark beige or khaki color. A little to rich to be tan.

nice and khaki at both work and home

Khaki at home and at my primary work location. An odd, yellowish greenish color that changes with viewing angle at my alternate work location. But the monitor there sucks, so I am not surprised.

It's khaki with a touch of yellow-green. Sometimes, cats have eyes this color.

Kahki both at work and at home and at HCC. Mostly anywhere I have looked at it.

Looks Khaki to me as well. I want to change my entire blog around, but the new template seems to give me less options than the old, although the new has more interoperability. I hope it becomes easier to tweak.

Thanks guys. I'll be trying some things out when I have time which doesn't look to be the case for several days anyhow. I can always count on greensunflower to keep it real for me, although I think you and anon have new Macs so I don't really get it. But I get to be on three different computers for fermicat! I feel special.

Scott-
I noticed that about the new blogger as well. That's why I'm nervous about trying a new template by them. Maybe I can quickly get into my template and change the color scheme without actually having to get on board with the new blogger. And those pictures were a stitch! Brightened my (struggling) Monday.
