Some Cinco de Mayo Humor

Dean and I were listening to a little Jimmy Buffet the other day while we were cleaning. We were loudly singing along.

Me: Blew out a flip flop!

I handed the air mic to Deano: Stepped on pop tart!

Me: Huh? I think it's "pop top".

Deano: No way!

If "pop tart" is wrong, I don't want to be right. I'm with Deano on this one.

Ew, can you imagine pop-tart stuck between your toes? Actually, I'm gonna go find AB...

Pop top! Pop Top! They don't have them anymore but the song dates itself!! :) Thanks for the giggle!!

You know, Jimmy B himself sings funny things into his songs on stage so I'm sure he would approve.

I used to work with a guy who honestly thought the lyrics to the Stones’ Beast of Burden were, "I’ll never be your pizza burger." It can get weird…

My brothers still make fun of me for the ONE time I said "insane in the left brain" instead of "insane in the membrane" from Cypress Hill. ok - so I sounds a little ghetto. I totally make up my words.

I have my own lyrics for almost every song, but I hate getting busted for it. There was a Stones song, I think it's called Get Off of my Cloud. I always sang "Hey, you, under my thumb!" Loudly of course, with perfect enunciation. I was the butt of the joke for a long time, and my wife still reminds me once in a while in the car when it comes on as she sings it my way with a dopey expression.
