How I Spent my Weekend

    Friday Evening

  • Grocery shopped with runner girl and Randy's sister, Anna, for a gathering at runner girl's house after Miles for Moffitt.

  • Read. I'm reading Under the Banner of Heaven for book club. It's fascinating. I'll write more on it when I'm done.

  • Saturday

  • Got up early and walked in Miles for Moffitt (with Deano! Yay!).

  • Went to runner girl's house for reception mentioned above.

  • Went to Target per Dean's request to get baseball cards and Game of Shadows.

  • Went home and refused to leave the house for the rest of the day.

  • Read my book some more while Dean read his book all the way up until dinner time.

  • Ordered pizza because neither of us would leave the house or cook dinner.

  • Read some more.

  • Went to bed early.

  • Sunday

  • Met and went to lunch with Dean's cousin and his wife.

  • Watched Twins lose their 5th game so far. Blegh.

  • Read.

  • Made dinner.

  • Caught up with both my parents on the phone.

  • Read.

  • Went to bed.

All in all, a perfect weekend.

But no 'truffles,' so how good could it have been?

that's may's selection. books must be selected several months in advance. that way they can be sure to be able to get it from the library. they are not all as spastic about owning books as I (we?) can be.

two things. 1)we also got a plentiful assortment of easter candy at target which somewhat satiated my cocoa needs. 2)there is still one truffle leftover from before for an "emergency" so simply having it there was a small comfort to me. the psychology of the truffles is almost as complicated as the shipment.

All I can say is: don't have kids. That is if you want a weekend like this one again--ever. Sounds like a dream, except for watching your team lose.

I'm waiting for the perfect weekend when the family is away, I have the house to myself, and it's too stormy to do anything outside. Then I'll just read, eat, sleep, and watch movies.

Watching the Twins implode = not fun. Glad I went out drinking Friday and Saturday nights to dull the overall pain of it all. Thought of you Nat, as I cozied up to Jack (so unlike me, I know, but someone bought it for me, so what do you do?)...
